This large aperture medium telephoto lens ensures a natural perspective. The attractive blur at f/1.4 is ideal for portrait, landscape and low light photography. SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass and a molded glass aspherical lens element provide excellent correction of all types of aberrations. High image quality is assured throughout the entire focusing range and the Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. This lens provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum aperture of f/1.4. The incorporation of HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) provides fast and quiet autofocus and the rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image.
