It is well known that weak leg joints are the cause of unsteadiness in tripods. The outstanding feature of the Ultra Series is extremely strong joints because each leg section extends the entire inside length of the outer leg casing. Thanks to a design that incorporates tube legs which engage slightly off centre, Velbon innovated a mechanism that enables each leg to be locked with a simple qick twist.
The Velbon Ultra 355 is a lightweight and very compact tripod designed for photographers and videographers. This tripod’s special legs use Velbon’s unique TSS (Trunnion Shaft System), which makes it tall and sturdy when extended, yet when folded, the Ultra 355 is only 36cm long. It comes complete with Velbon’s PHD-33M 3-way panhead and QB-42 quick-release platform. The multi-angle legs and splittable centre-column allow low-level working down to just 18cm. The included pouch case means you can conveniently slip it into a camera bag or backpack.
